Meet Me in Memphis shows the songwriting and playing experience of the 16 year Beale Street veteran. The tracks include tales about everyday life from home life to interaction with people on the streets. Its title track draws on all the things he loves about his hometown, and calls upon the blues and gospel foundations that are essential as the water from the city’s artesian wells.

Eric Hughes partners Eric with Brian Aylor (drums) and Leo Goff (bass). Guest artists on Memphis Me in Memphis are saxophonist Art Edmaiston (Gregg Allman, JJ Grey and Mofro) and trumpeter Marc Franklin (Gregg Allman, John Nemeth) alongside vocalists Reba Russell (The Reba Russell Band) and Susan Marshall (Don Bryant, The Afghan Whigs).
